Cardiknits Inc. invites you to attend our 3rd Cardiknits' Academy on April 25 & 26, 2008 in Ancaster which is just outside Hamilton, Ontario. Location: We will hold the Academy in the St. John's Church, 272 Wilson Street East, Ancaster L9G 2B9. This location is about 1.5 hours drive from Toronto and Buffalo and is close to the highways. Please check the map page for the location. This facility allows us the use of separate classrooms for each demonstrator. This year we will be using the Great Hall which is on the ground floor and wheelchair accessible plus another room. The Academy will be held in the new church hall behind the church with the entrance in the rear. The parking is behind the cemetery off Halson Street. There is additional parking next to the Old Parish Hall on the other side of Halson Street. The 3rd Cardiknits' Academy will feature: The aim of the Academy is to present classes that will concentrate on techniques that all machine knitters can use on whichever machine they use. We will be offering classes on ribber techniques, a variety of textured stitches; everything from the swatch to the finishing. The fee for each day includes: The cost of each day of the seminar will be $70.00 Canadian (includes GST) before April 15, 2008. After that date, the cost will be $75.00 (includes GST). Registration begins on February 1, 2008. Cancellation fee is $10.00. No refunds after April 15, 2008. Knitters can register for one or both days. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible. When you register to attend, you must register for the classes that you wish to attend. All classes will be limited to 30 people. This is to allow you to be able to see and hear the demonstrators so that you get the maximum out of each class. We would like to encourage all our participants to wear their knits. This is an important benefit of attending a seminar - to see what others are knitting. Please share with us.
