Cardiknits Inc. invites you to attend our 7th Cardiknits' Academy on Friday April 27 & Saturday April 28, 2012 in Ancaster which is just outside Hamilton, Ontario.

Location:
We will hold the Academy in the St. John's Church, 272 Wilson Street East, Ancaster L9G 2B9. This location is about 1.5 hours drive from Toronto and Buffalo and is close to the highways. Please check the map page for the location. This facility allows us the use of separate classrooms for each demonstrator. This year we will be using the Gathering Space which is on the second floor and wheelchair accessible plus another room. There is an elevator by the entrance. The Academy will be held in the new church hall behind the church with the entrance in the rear. The parking is behind the cemetery off Halson Street. There is additional parking next to the Old Parish Hall on the other side of Halson Street.

The 7th Cardiknits' Academy will feature:
Sarah Etchison, Washington State
Carolyn Barnett, Kingston

The aim of the Academy is to present classes that will concentrate on techniques and information that all machine knitters can use on whichever machine they use. Sarah will be demonstrating advanced techniques on both Brother and Singer/Studio/Silver Reed knitting machines. Carolyn will be demonstrating techniques suitable for beginner and intermediate knitters on all makes and models of machine.

The fee for each day includes:
1 2-hour or 2 1-hour morning classes and two 1-hour afternoon classes.
Handbook with all the class notes.
Morning coffee, tea, juice, and luncheon (1 sitting). Sorry, Cardiknits is unable to cater to your allergies or special requests.
Sales tables for Cardiknits.

The cost of each day of the seminar will be $70.00 Canadian (includes HST) before April 15, 2012. After that date, the cost will be $75.00 (includes HST). Registration begins on January 15, 2012. Cancellation fee is $10.00. No refunds after April 15, 2012. Knitters can register for one or both days. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible.

When you register to attend, you must register for the classes that you wish to attend as spaces will be limited. This is to allow you to be able to see and hear the demonstrators so that you get the maximum out of each class.

We will not be supplying plastic bags this year so please bring a bag with you, preferably a knit one like Pat's Shopping Bag in Knitwords #44. We would love to see your version. We would also like to encourage all our participants to wear their knits. This is an important benefit of attending a seminar - to see what others are knitting. Please share with us.
