SUPERB KNITTERS: Cardiknits is host to the Superb Knitters, a group of about 20 enthusiastic machine knitters who meet monthly to share their interest in machine knitting. This group is extremely generous in sharing their knitting skills with local charities. Our knitters work tirelessly year round to produce dozens of pairs of mittens, hats, scarves and countless blankets to benefit humans and animals alike. In 2007, our members have outdone themselves. Above is part of the knitting that they did for one local charity, countless numbers of hats and scarves both machine and hand knit. They also donated 63 cat blankets to the SPCA, bags of baby and other items to another charity, premie blankets to the hospital, plus June Groves has knit and crocheted over 300 hats for a children's cancer clinic. Their generosity is just overwhelming and we are sure it is appreciated by everyone that it touches.
